Description pierre_proulx 2005-03-26 13:26:25 UTC
Here is the problem:

I created a large number of PowerPoint presentations with a large number of
equations.

When I import them in version 1.1.4, the resulting impress file is almost ok,
I only have to modify the fonts to obtain a similar result. However the
equations are imported as images, not as equations that can be edited.

When I use the french version of version 1.1.3 (on fedora core 3 and my system
is setup with french canadian as the native language and keyboard), the fonts
are all perfect and many equations are imported perfectly as equations that
can be edited. However, some greek characters are not imported properly. For
example: rho. When I check in the equation editor of version 1.1.3 in french,
I note that I need to put %rhô (with a circonflex accent on the o for those
without a properly setup character set) and not %rho as should logically be
used. On import, it seems that impress replaces every such greek letter by ''.

Does someone has a solution to that problem, other that editing each equation
and replacing each lost rho, mu or other...

Thank you
