If you need to select some text which contains different formatting the buttons
 increase and decrease font size are disabled... 

It would be great if they would be accessible at this point very important in
formatting a document

Also please consider atachind BY DEFAULT the shortcuts CTRL+[ and CTRL+] as in
MS Word...
