Description jhansonxi 2005-04-01 20:45:58 UTC
I've noticed that Shift+space seems to be mapped to select column but it shows
up as unmapped in the Customize > Keyboard panel. This affects both Base and
Data Source Browser. I often hit Shift-Space by accident and lose my table
edits when the column is selected. It's really annoying not being able to unmap
it or map it to a space.

cannot see this in 1.9.93 on linux
Comment 2 flibby05 2005-04-24 19:10:52 UTC
seems to be Windows only issue
Comment 3 flibby05 2005-04-24 19:12:23 UTC
jhansonxi, you can retest if it is fixed for you with latest snapshot build,

I have seen that this issue is OOo m87 related and that the last entry here was in April ... :(
@jhansonxi: Have you tried this with a newer version of OOo, like maxweber has mentioned it in
his comment from April 24th? Does your problem occur there, too?
Comment 7 jhansonxi 2005-06-13 15:25:42 UTC
Still occurs in 1.9.100
Comment 8 marc.neumann 2005-06-20 12:19:11 UTC

I can reproduce this. SHIFT + SPACE in datasource view can't be unmapped.

Bye Marc

This issue still exists in OO 2.0.2 on Linux.

Not only is it not possible to "unmap" the shift+space shortcut, the "remapping"
of this shortcut to a less destructive function (such as Edit Copy) using the
TOOLS / CONFIGURE dialog is broken: The action of the shortcut does not change!

This issue can be closed as it is a duplicate of 53310.

I confirm that the issue has been fix (finally!) in OOo 3.0.
