OS: Windows XP Home edition
OS version: 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
OOo version: 1.9.87

Here is the steps performed:

1- In a existing database, create a new table.
2- Create new fields
3- Save the table
4- Close the table
5- Open the table in EDIT mode (Contextual menu or EDIT menu)
6- The field properties are gray and cannot been edited.
