Description rsearjeant 2005-04-06 19:20:05 UTC
It's clear that the OOo team have 'borrowed' Word's Styles and Formatting bar,
renaming the stylist and adding a toolbar button for it in precisely the
position Word's equivalent appears.

Having gone this far, users might expect the tool itself to look (and feel)
much the same. Sadly, the experience is not as good (yet). Why not follow
Word's Styles and Formatting bar more fully? At least provide WYSIWYG
paragraph styles - this makes it much easier to locate the style you want.

I'd like Writer to go further, and also copy the Styles and Formatting bar item
drop-menu, with the command “Select all nn instance(s)†which lets you see
immediately where you have applied the style in the current document.
