Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 48531
page preeview only selected sheet(s)
Last modified: 2014-05-25 08:02:07 UTC
Calc always prints the whole document with all sheets, no matter what's selected in the options ("Print only selected"). I tried the official "2.0 beta" (m79) and the newest binary, m95, both have the same issue. I also did not find any issue here for this.
Now, I checked this with OO.o 1.1.4 and the issue is also present with that version! I used the option "Tools" -> "Options" -> "Spreadsheet" -> "Print" -> "Print only selected sheets". This is the option that should control this behaviour, right? Then, I restartes OOo and create a new spreadsheet. On the default of 3 sheets, I type "1" on the first and so on, one entry on all sheets. When going to "print preview", I see "page 1/3" and can use "next page" to advance to the next sheet. So if I simply print the document, I would get 3 pages.
Sorry for buggin, I found out what's the matter. The print preview is actually not a print preview but ever and always shows all pages on all sheets, no matter what's set in the options. So I consider this an annoying bug in the print preview (not showing what will be printed) and the print dialog (the preset for the page range is set to all pages in all sheets also). So without actually printing it out, you will never see any difference if you will print all or just the current sheet. IMO not good. :-(
