Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4866
French version : OMEGAGA
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:56:16 UTC
The french version of 1.0 has a bug with the OMEGA symbol. In French you write it as " %OMÉGA ". - You write a text - You put some ecuations with " %OMÉGA ". - You continue editing - You come back and some of your " %OMÉGA "s had become "OMEGAA" and are no more a valid printed math symbol. The error is reincident and repetitive. Some time after the "OMEGAA" had become also "OMEGAGA" and so on. The is bug, and it is huge.
JA->MRU: please discuss this with TL. The formula token language is english only. Perhaps TL can implement these tokens rescource dependently. Reassigned to you...
MRU->TL: Yes, is reproducable with french OpenOffice (english o.k.). In Math, you only need to enter a formula "OMÉGA = %OMÉGA", save the document, reload -> formula is "OMÉGA = OMEGAA"
I still see this on 1.0.1 french, I'll try and debug it (soonish) to see where its going wrong.
^.^
Please check if it is a file format problem. That is check if this happens also if you save in "Star Writer 5.0" or "Star Math 5.0" format. You may also check if thi still happens in OO 1.0.1. I could reproduce it only twice in OO 1.0.1 after some struggle and than no more after that...
This is most probably the same problem as in #i6546. Could only be checked when this is fixed.
Fix integrated in OO 643 E. TL->MRU: Please compare too #i6546#
Duplicate to issue #4125. Thus I close this one. Issue will be fixed in OpenOffice 1.1 Beta. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 4125 ***
