Description lohner 2005-05-11 12:14:11 UTC
Create a presentation (blank), add some backround graphics on teh master pages,
and then start adding pages normally. Sporatically, some of the grapgics will
not show up if you play with elements on the page. They are visible in the
Slide Show, and reappear when closing and opening the presentation, and also
reappear later.

In this case, I was editing a simple text 3x3 table (spreadsheet). Page
forward/backward does not make it reappear strangely enough.

I can't reproduce the bug.
Please send me a step by step description to reproduce the bug.
Comment 4 thackert 2005-06-12 12:24:48 UTC
I have seen that this issue is m100 related and that the last entry was in May ... :(
@lohner: Could you give us a step by step description to this issue (like cgu asked you in May), so
that we can reproduce this issue, please? Or better: Attach a presentation?
Comment 5 lohner 2005-07-20 17:58:26 UTC
(Sorry for the delay, vacation and job change got in the way.)

I have not been able to reliably reproduce this problem, it pops up sporatically
in impress presentations, and I can't give instructions on how to reproduce it
(at least not any more than in the first comment). It happened to me several
times, starting from a blank presentation each time, so there is no testcase to
attach. I recommend leaving the bug in this state, I'll add to it if I find
anything, else someone else may be able to reproduce it or file a dupe.
Comment 6 christian.guenther 2005-09-01 13:26:55 UTC
I change the resolution to remind and change the target to Office Later.
Please add a description if you find out how to reproduce the bug.
Comment 7 christian.guenther 2006-03-01 15:02:39 UTC
Can you still reproduce the bug?
I've to close the issue if I don't get more information how to reproduce it.
Comment 8 lohner 2006-03-10 14:55:53 UTC
I see it very sporatically, but it is definitely still there. I use the blue
default scheme "subtle accents" a lot, and it seems to happen when you are
editing body text (on a very simple slide with only title and body fields) and
then page up and down to go to a previous or next page, then that page sometimes
loses the light blue behind the body. I can't reliably get it back, but after
working with the presenation some more (switching pages, editing) it will appear
again after a while.

I'm not sure if the mini-slide on the left also disappears the light blue, next
time I see it I will take a screenshot. I do see this on 2.0.

I don't have a problem leaving this as resolved, I can reopen when I have a
screenshot.
Comment 9 christian.guenther 2006-03-14 16:02:55 UTC
can you attach a document where the background graphic has vanished?
Comment 10 christian.guenther 2006-04-27 14:36:55 UTC
I close the issue.
Please reopen it if you can still reproduce the bug and you can tell me how to
reproduce it.
Comment 11 zhongqiyao 2007-07-19 08:40:50 UTC
Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2, Chinese (traditional char).
OpenOffice Impress 2.2.1, Chinese (traditional char) version.

It still happens and does not need a big file to happen.
But there is no consistent way to reproduce the problem.

Thanks.

Better image showing bug
Comment 15 robbk 2008-02-21 07:40:42 UTC
One of our users also experiences this problem sporadically. It is difficult to
reproduce. He has created a good screenshot showing the problem. See
OOoBug49089.png. You can see 3 slides. The master slide has a grey bar at the
top and a logo at the top right. In the 3 thumbnails you can see this
"background". In the current slide it is not displayed. After closing the slide
and reopening it, the bug could not be reproduced. The user can not say what he
did to cause the bug to occur.

I think I attached a good example showing this problem. Could someone please
reopen this issue? Thanks.
Comment 17 robbk 2009-04-01 09:00:31 UTC
Our users are still experiencing this problem. Is there any way I can clarify it
further for you? It's not especially debilitating, but it's annyong and hurts
OOo's image with our users, many of whom would still like to switch bach to M$.
Thanks.

Comment 19 robbk 2009-06-08 13:17:48 UTC
Our users continue to report this problem at irregular intervals. I have now
attached a screenshot showing the background image halfway there. That is, half
the grey background and half the logo from the master slide are displayed. Can I
provide any more information for someone to reopen this issue? Thanks.
