Description vliscony 2005-05-11 22:27:02 UTC
when importing a doc into my letterhead, I obtained irregular line spacing when
I used "insert > file."
Nothing would correct it, not even going back to "default" format and then re-
applying the paragraph format. There were not hidden codes, the line spacing as
"single" space or as "proportional" all yielded the same results.

However, when I copied the doc into the file with a copy and paste operation I
did not have this problem.

Would it be possible for you to attach a document that illustrates the problem?

Please provide the file you insert into another one, so that we can reproduce
the problem here. Feel free to reopen issue when you have done so. Thanks a lot!

Here are all the building blocks for re-creating the problem.
The original word file, the letterhead template, and the resulting files.

SIP VoiceID ValuePropV0.98.sxw has the line spacing problem (it was created by
insert>file, importing an .sxw version of the word file into the letterhead.

SIP VoiceID ValuePropV0.99.sxw was created with copy/paste and does not have the
formatting problems.
Comment 9 michael.ruess 2005-06-09 15:37:16 UTC
I found out, that the line spacing in the "does not work" sxw file does not look
good, because all the full-stops and the following blank are all in font size 14
pt. turning them to 10 pt will correct the line spacing. But I have still to
find out, why these full stops recieve the wrong font height.
Comment 10 michael.ruess 2005-06-09 16:01:22 UTC
But I cannot get the way to this broken font sizes... When I open the attached
template and insert the .doc, all characters are 14 pt (because Default styles
has 14 pt.).
Changing the default to 10 pt will give also correct full stop sizes.
Could you please explain step by step how you get from the attached template to
the wrong sized characters in the sxw? Thank you very much!

Closed, this problem is not reproducable without the exact description of the
steps which produce the document containing the wrong formats.
