Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 49301
Simple Text as Background Image (Watermark)
Last modified: 2008-06-28 01:15:55 UTC
Often, only a simple grey text watermark is used to mark a document as draft or review version. So far, the user has to create a image (e.g. with OOo draw), export it into a file and add it to the document. This is a rather annoying process. It would be nice, to simply create the text via a dialog , assign a style to it (to assign font, colour etc.) and use it as a watermark.
Reassigned to Requirements.

Text watermarks would be a very useful feature to mark all or a sort of pages as drafts or something else quickly. How high is the technical effort to make this possible? Or is it possible to repeat a text frame on all/several pages to "emulate" a watermark? Keyword: ms_interoperability? (I would vote for this issue, but my spare votes are lost in other old issues.)
