Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 49796
Superscript badly placed in formulae imported from MS MathType
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:54:45 UTC
I use OOo 1.9.m104 to import and convert Microsoft Word 97 documents containing formulae. In a formula like (I use XML notation for clarity) rcA1,cB12 with 2 levels of subscripts then a superscript, the last superscript is treated as superscript of a subscripted element, instead of being treated (as it was in the MathType formula) as a superscript of the initial default-sized element.
Created attachment 26505 [details] MS MathType formula with 2 level subscripts then superscript
Created attachment 26506 [details] Another, smaller, example of this defect (2 levels of subscripts, then a superscript)
I just noticed that the same error appears after only 1 level subscript, followed by a superscript.
Created attachment 26514 [details] In the numerator of 2nd member, D, not AB should be squared
The bug is still in OOo 1.9.113
Adding Regina to C.C..
I can confirm this on WinXP with OOo1.9.113. The structure in Word97 is different from that in OOo.
Bug still in OOo 1.9.118 . Please change version of this bug.
Due to resource limitation this will be fixed for successor of OO 2.0.
