Added more meaningful summary, changed Component.
I checked with 1.1.4 (German) WIN XP: [645m52(Build8824)] and saw the misplaced
text.
I checked with 2.0 (1.9.m91) English version WIN XP: [680m91(Build8895)] and saw
the misplaced text, too.

Reporter, pls. secify your OOo version and contribute an unprotected document.

Hi,

checked it with internal m106 and found that the cellformat is carried over from
Excel exactly as set. So the problem is in Excel which seems to set the bottom
alignment to interpret in a verry different way. If you set the alignment for
vertical also to center it would be set correctly on Excel and Calc.

So closing worksforme as the formatting is set as specified in the cell formatting.
