Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 50323
Exporting as html corrupts diagrams
Last modified: 2005-06-13 16:09:04 UTC
a) Create a writer document containing a simple diagram, e.g. 2 text boxes joined by a line. b) Save this as an html file (HTML Document (OpenOffice.org Writer) [html]). c) This creates an html file and several gif files, one for each element in the diagam. d) Open the html file in a browser, the diagram is corrupted. It is split into it's component elements, which are simply listed one after each other. Microsoft Word does this by saving a single gif file, and the diagram is displayed correctly in the html file when viewed by the browser.

Please attach a sample document (Writer)
Confirm this "generate multiple graphics" is the current behavior (in 1.9m104). It does not help to put the graphics in a frame. They're still generated in several different pieces.

Created attachment 27102 [details] HTML with graphic in a frame: still broken
You cannot export the same contenten 1:1 from a word processor to HTML. In case, you may anchor the Draw objects to the page (keeping their positiob on the page). You will then have layers and background (generated gifs) problem. You should first group the objects or better insert a prepared picture of the diagram that you may anchor to a table.
