Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 50369
Table formatting: vert. alignment not applied when cell breaks
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
Steps to reproduce the issue: 1) Create a new document with a table having split cells in them. 2) See to the a row breaks between pages. Eg: Create a table with 3 rows and 3 columns. Split the cell (2,1) horizonatally in to 4 cells. Add some text "XYZ" in cell (2,0) and align it center to the cell. Save the document and reopen the document, notice that "XYZ" is aligned top, but according to formating it is aligned center. Issue: Closing and reopeing the document with tables having rows split across pages loss formatting. Will attach a sample document too.

MRU->FME: see the document. In the cells where page breaks are implied, the vertical alignment is not applied to the content.

Also if you want your cell to be bottom alligned the text will always only appear at the bottom of the first page and not at the bottom of the cell on the second page. Haven't found a work around yet except adding returns above the text.
