This is the procedure to reproduce the bug:

1) Open the file with Writer.
2) Save the file as Word 97/2000/XP format.
3) Close the file.
4) Open the new Word file.

After these steps you can see that the page background has the same color as the 
blue flag.

MRU->OD: OO 2.0's new drawing shapes have been used to generate the Logo in the
header. The export/re-import has its problems: the page background recieves the
color of the object.
Opening the exported file in Word does not show the problem.

To my disappointment, I noticed this background-change issue still in OOo 2.3. Or
at least I'm guessing I have seen the same problem. Just in case attached a file
similar to ones I'm having problems with. This is basically killing MS Word
interoperability for me, since most Word documents I have to deal with exhibit
this (derive from a similar corporate template).
