Description oub 2005-06-07 19:04:59 UTC
Hello

I asked a similar question some time ago and only got a confirmation
but no solution or hint. I am on debian sid (unstable) with the
following packages installed

libdbd-mysql-p 2.9003-3 A Perl5 database interface to the MySQL data
libmysqlclient 3.23.56-2 LGPL-licensed client library for MySQL datab
libmysqlclient 4.0.22-2 mysql database client library
mysql-client 4.0.22-2 mysql database client binaries
  mysql-common 4.0.22-2 mysql database common files (e.g. /etc/mysql
mysql-server 4.0.22-2 mysql database server binaries
  php4-mysql 4.3.9-2 MySQL module for php4
libmyodbc 3.51.09-1 the MySQL ODBC driver
odbcinst1 2.2.4-11 Support library and helper program for acces
  unixodbc 2.2.4-11 ODBC tools libraries

Using OO either 1.1.4 or 1.1.3 I can access the mysql database, can
create a table but then later cannot edit the columns. This seems to
me a serious bug and I would like to know whom to blame and what I
could do about it. Just in case I send a bug report.

have you the possibility to connect via odbc to another database and recheck?
(on the first view it looks like a driver problem)

thx
Comment 2 Mechtilde 2006-02-14 15:21:48 UTC
This works with OOo 2.0.x.
under Debian

My question to Uwe is:
Do you define a primary key?
Comment 3 Mechtilde 2006-02-21 17:40:53 UTC
It works in 2.0.x so this Issue can be closed
