Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 50962
change table border styles
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:22:08 UTC
I'm using m109, and find that changing the table border styles does not work. You can only seem to do it via "Table Properties" (MS Word has an icon with further drop-down icons),which is over-complicated. Having to select the "Line Default" box, then a line, is very awkward, and doesn't sem to work properly anyway (double line outer border changes to thick 2.0 pt single line and greys out the internal cell borders. It works partially if the "Merge Adjacent Line Styles" is unticked. But what is that all about? No real help in the "Help" menu for this option.
In the table toolbar (which appears when editing a table) there is are dropdown controller for pre-defined border styles (line arrangement, border styles and border color). In the table format dialog you can customize the line arrangement with the referring control.
Closed.
Thank you for your comments. They were much more helpful than the "Help" on OOO! I would add that the table toolbar doesn't always just pop up. When I created a 2x2 table, and highlighted it, I then had to go to View - Toolbars to activate the Tbasle toolbar. The 1 pt double border also doesn't seem to be a double line, just a single.
Hm, problem that the table toolbar will not appear cannot be reproduced. MRU->OS: assigning 1pt double line style to a table via table toolbar control will only assign single line style to table border. This works correctly via dialog.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
