Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 50971
Connector lines should arc/hop over other perpendicular (unrelated) connectors
Last modified: 2013-04-18 20:15:17 UTC
When two connectors cross (as perpendicular lines), they currently simply cross at a right angle. It would be very useful to have (as an option, perhaps?) the ability to make one connector hop over the other in the form of a short arc. Microsoft Visio and several CAD programs support this behavior which is commonly used in electrical diagrams of all sorts. See the attachment for an example of what I mean if it's not clear. Thank you for a fine product.
Created attachment 27320 [details] example of a connector 'hoping' over another.
It's an enhancement.

I need to prepare line diagrams for electronic installations. The lines represent patch cables etc. crossing over each other as they connect different components. These crossings are very confusing without the line jumps other programs put into these types of diagrams.
Is there any planned integration for this enhancement into the OpenOffice project? It's really useful for creating line diagrams.
This is a great feature. I would like to see this feature in a future.
