Description trenkler 2005-06-29 19:11:22 UTC
When trying to use formated field in form for date input there are some
problems. 1. When changing format to DDMMYY I can put data into form but in the
table I get another date.
2. When I change format to DD,MM,YY I can input data but when I try to change
another formated field to such format I see no data and I cannot put any data
into that field.
3. It seems that it is imposible to have two formated fields with user's own
format in one form.

Database (MySQL or embedded HSQLDB) are created in Slovak.

See and try with enclosed dates.odb file.

Juraj, please let's split this issue up - one problem, one issue. For a
reasoning see
http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/basic_rules.html#one_per_issue, please.

What I see from your attached document is that it has problems loading the form,
the number formats at the controls seem to get lost. However, we need to know
how those formats were produced.

I cannot really reproduce 3. - I can set the format for both controls to
"DD,MM,YY" simultaneously, no problem.

Also, I cannot reproduce 2. - after I set the format for both fields, I can see
all the data fine.

- please "outsource" 1. to another issue, since it sounds unrelated to the
  "DD,MM,YY"-problem
- please provide a step-by-step description how you see 3., perhaps you're doing
  something differently
- What are your settigns in Tools|Options|Language Settings|Languages?
- What's your system's regional settings?

Thanks-

I have this problem with formatting date input by formatted field in OOo1.9.118.
I can use format DD/MM/YY with onbe date field but when trying the second field
in the form I loose formatting for this field. I work with build made by Pavel
Janik - linux .rpm SK version.

Huh? Is it about "DD,MM,YY" or "DD/MM/YY"?

Could you *please* provide, step by step, a description what you are doing, what
you expect to happen, and what happens? With the current information, I am
unable to reproduce any of the issues. I believe there *are* issues, but without
you describing them precisely, they don't have a chance of being fixed.
Comment 5 Frank Schönheit 2005-07-22 11:57:38 UTC
Ah! Juraj, is it that you mean that after closing and re-opening the form, the
date formats are *gone* (and reset to defaults) from all except the first control?

I just found exactly this bug in a completely unrelated database, and it only
happens after you close and re-open the form (which is the fact I was missing
from your description). This other bug is now issue 52317.

Juraj, did you have a chance to check whether this problem here is the same as
described in issue 52317?
