Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 51534
Problems in impress with layers on animation
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:55:45 UTC
When in one slide you use first text with animation, with all the lines appearing at the same time and after that you use, in the same slide, an image animation, everything is good and the layer of the image appears on the layer of the text hidding the text. But... when you do the same thing but in the text animation you select this not as a whole, but showing the paragraphs one after the previous (not as a whole object, but by paragraph of first or second level), this mean the first appears, the second after a click, the third after another click....; then the image animated after the text seems to be OK but at the end of the animation the text appears again over the image. The only solution I have reach to solve that is separating every paragraph in a text-square and inside each one select animation as a whole object; then the image final appears OK without the text being visible at the end of the animation over the image. I think this could be related with the way OOo 2.0 manage the layers. I have seen this bug on all the 2.0 build, includin 680m113. Francisco Alcaraz Murcia (Spain)
One for me (cgu)
Priority changed.
Set to new and change the target.
I can reproduce the bug. Please have a look.

@dbo: that very much looks like the paragraph-wise animation (being an _independent_ subset animation) does not switch off sprite mode at the end of the animation, or that the z order of the generated subset shapes is above the one for the image (calculation is in drawshape.cxx:997 in rev. 1.6). I'd bet for the latter ;-) Please consider fixing this one for 2.0.1.
Is this bug being solved now, after the 2.0 release? Regards
@THB: as agreed to you...
Testing 2.0.1 rc4, this issue hasn't been solved and it is very important, I think. I have lots of presentation made with OOo 1.x that show the problem. Please consider to solve it before the next release. Regards
Version 2.0.4 has still that bug.
Sad to say: Version 2.1 has still that bug. In my opinion it's a really annoying bug! Is it that difficult to fix it? Is there a work-around?
