Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 51697
Copy, switch document, paste, switch again = cut
Last modified: 2005-07-28 15:33:26 UTC
I am doing the following: 1. On a writer document, I am copying text -from a table cell 2. I am switching to a calc document 3. I am inserting the text - with paste special - unformated text 4. I am swithcing back to the text document Then, to my surprise, what I have copied has disappeared. If I click on UNDO t reappears. For some strange reason the copied text has changed into cut text I am working with JDS 3 build 38 The same happens both with the StarOffice 8 version included in JDS 3 build 38 and OpenOffice.org 1.9.m113 I am using the Portuguese-Brazilian version
Created attachment 27778 [details] Document I am copying text from ( from table in page 23 )
Created attachment 27779 [details] Calc file I am pasting text to ( columns B5 to B12, one by one )
TM->ES: Please have a look, thanks !
I cannot reproduce it. Please describe how you select and copy the text exactly.
It happens just in ONE document! 1. Open Universidade_Coimbra_Technical_Proposal_V1b.sxw and go to page 23 2. Select the text 4.7. Hardware parts (DRAFT): with Control-C 3. Switch to another application ( I am clicking on the JDS task bas to do it ) 4. Go back to Document Universidade_Coimbra_Technical_Proposal_V1b.ssw ( click on taskbar ). The selected text has vanished 5. Click on Edit-Undo and the select text comes back ! If I use Edit-Copy instead of Control-C I get the same result ! This is in JDS 3 build 38, with Gnome
not reproducible with 1.1.4 (German) WIN XP: [645m52 (Build 8824)]
Cannot reproduce with 1.9.m117 on Fedora 4
I have now installed build 39 of Java Desktop System, which contains an updated version of StarOffice 8 beta The problem is gone. This issue may be closed
