Description Unknown 2002-05-23 07:49:14 UTC
Currently, mouse wheel scrolls the worksheet up/down in Drawing/Impress slide
editor.

IMO, the most useful use for the wheel is display zooming, so that rolling the
wheel up/down one click zooms the display in/out for, say, 5%, even during
object movement. The zoom center is the pointer current position. This makes
accurate positioning of points extremely fast and fun.

We have this feature. You just have to press STRG will while rolling
the wheel of the mouse. This will zoom in and zoom out.

OK, that's nice.

However, the feature is not that useful now, for two reasons:
- the zoom should also pan the drawing, so that the pointer position
remains unchanged during the zoom
- holding CTRL causes snap function not to work

Maybe this one should be configurable.
Should I file a new issue, or will you reopen this one?

(Reopening issue as Office-wide RFE with clear description ).

Please enhance our Ctrl+mouse wheel zoom feature so that it pans the document.
That is, Ctrl-wheel zooms area around mouse pointer like Google maps does.

Competing Office (at least 2003) does not have this behavior, but professional
apps (like Photoshop and AutoCad) behave like this.
