Description bmarcelly 2005-07-24 14:55:17 UTC
Problem found in SDK version 1.9.113 but already existing in SDK 1.1.0

Documentation page com.sun.star.packages indicates two nested modules :
- manifest
- zip
The module "manifest" documents only interfaces, there is no service to provide them.
This is a problem for Basic programming because you cannot invoke interfaces without a
service.

In fact the services exist but documentation was forgotten :
com.sun.star.packages.manifest.ManifestWriter
com.sun.star.packages.manifest.ManifestReader
With theses services you have access from Basic to the described interfaces.

I agree that documentation would help to understand the API but the API is not
"published" yet and can be changed. Even if it were documented the use of the
API would be include a potential risk that your macro/code won't work with the
next version.
Nevertheless should we document the API.

@MAV: AFAIK you maintain those services now...

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
