In Online Help goto Contents – Presentation and Drawings – Groups and Layers –
About Layers.
There are still occurrences of “slide” instead of “page”.

wrong
Layers do not determine the stacking order of objects on your slide. The
stacking order of objects on your slide is determined by the sequence in which

correct
