Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 53645
new option: don't check hyperlinks
Last modified: 2013-02-24 20:43:24 UTC
I consistently get spelling errors flagged in hyperlinks. It would be nice to be able to disable this. One solution: I believe Word allows certain paragraph or character styles to be flagged for not spellchecking. Another less involved and (less flexible) solution would be simply adding another preference to the spellchecking options to skip hyperlinks.
"Word allows certain paragraph or character styles to be flagged for not spellchecking.": OOo allows that too, simply select "None" as a language.
Yep, looks like I goofed. In many years of using OOo I somehow never noticed the language setting in the font control. I don't see why it should be there with the font selections, but it does work. Thanks for the reply, Alex
This is a duplicate of Issue 40133. Marking a hyperlink as language='none' is a useful workaround, but this should not be necessary. I will add that tip to i40133. Regards, Andrew *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 40133 ***
