when I double-click a word, copy it, then double-click another word which is
longer than the first one, and paste upon it (to replace it) there is still the
longer part of the 'replaced' one visible.

reporter, can you please check issue 49747 (and may eb issue 51479) and decide
wether this issue is a duplicate or at least related to issue 49747? For me, it
sounds similar. 

Pls. specify your OOo version!

A screenshot might be helpful.

I checked with 2.0 (1.9.m122) German version WIN XP: [680m122(Build8941)],
result WFM.
