From the user's point of view, that means that some Text options are not
accessible (mainly the "Word Wrap text in shape" and the behavior of the shapes
is different from their counterpart in the Basic Shapes menu. This
Steps to reproduce the problem.
1)Create a blank presentation
2)Click on the Rectangle Icon at the left of the Drawing Toolbar
3)Draw a rectangle
4)Right click on the rectangle > Text > Text tab
5)The "Word Wrap text in shape" option is greyed out.

6)Close the Window
7)Chose Rectangle in the Basic Shapes menu of the Drawing toolbar
8)Draw a rectangle
9)Right click on the rectangle > Text > Text tab
10)The "Word Wrap text in shape" option is accessible.

The problem is still present in OOO330m6 Build 9524 on Linux x86 32 bits
but seems corrected in OOO320m12 Build 9483 shipped with Ubuntu 10.04

Rectangle and ellipse can be exported easily to a corresponding svg-graphic, customs shape have no direct counterpart in svg. Therefore I do not like this request.

ALG: +1 to Regina, I also do not like it. We need those simple shapes.
