In another product, when filters are applied there is a status bar count
indicating number of rows matching the applied criteria e.g. 23/156.  This
feature is useful in UK school  teaching where spreadsheet filters and resultant
data sets are part of national curriculum.  (also useful for data analysis if
you are not using a DB) Apologies if this enhancement has been raised earlier.
