Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 54476
long text for objects overflows when edited
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:34:19 UTC
when a long text for object is edited, it is impossible to reliably edit start and end of it - all text is put in a single line and it overflows. this could be solved by editing the text in a scrollable textbox. to be usable this box must be resizeable. applicable for all applications. also, in writer text that overflows the page area is not visible until it is changed - this problem also would be solved if the text was in a separate textbox.

Reassigned.
In my mind this is an enhancement and not a bug.
well, it can stay as enchancement, though there are cases when this behaviour prevents user from editing or viewing data - so i would call that a bug ;)
