Description amit73 2005-09-15 09:03:33 UTC
We have connected a datasource (created in Calc / Excel Spreadsheet) to a mail
merge document.

Later on we added some more records / rows to that spreadsheet and wanted to
mail merge for the new records. We found that the datasource was not
refreshed / rebuild even when we clicked on the refresh / rebuild icon.

HI->OS: Isn't there already an issue about that?

I don't know if there's a duplicate.

Hello,

this may be a duplicate to No. 9899.
I know that effect, too.

Workaround, but no guarantee:
a) Close OpenOffice (all windows, parts, documents - including Quickstart)
 or
b) Open "Data Sources" with F4 or menu "View". Right-click the datasource in the
left list and choose "Disconnect". Afterwards double-click again and go to tables.

The problem is that OO automatically creates an .odb-database which imports the
content of the spreadsheet, instead of reading the spreadsheet directly while
merging mails.

should be fixed in the mean time, IMO ...
considered the connection pooling for the type of database is disabled
(Tools|Options|OpenOffice.org Base > Connections)

@amit73 is this correct for you?
