Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 54886
Multi-Colmn Page Layout
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:12:27 UTC
Request: A feature to allow flowing speadsheet contents to multiple columns per page. Interface could be recycled from the Writer's "Format>Page: Columns" Tab. I'd think "Format>Page..." would be the most logical place to add it. (See mockup at URL) Reasoning: Let's say I have a large amount of data, but a small number of columns. To save paper and make scanning data easier, it's nice to have a "multi-column" layout of the data on a single page. Currently, this can only be done manually and cumbersomely: http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=17094 http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=16811

Hi, I'm sorry, but this is something for a wordprocessor but not for a spreadsheet. To get data to a defined number of pages we have Format-Page-Sheet-Scaling mode with it's possibilitys. To squeeze a column and row based application into another column based page style sounds weird to me. SO IMO this should be declined. Nevertheless it's not my decission, re-assigned to requirements.
