Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 55069
thai:Clicking past end of line sometimes puts caret in the middle of a cell
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
This happens when a line is broken between two Thai cells and the first cell includes a diacritic. If you then click anywhere to the right of the end of the first line, the caret will end up as if it is in the middle (between the base and diacritic) of the first cell (that is, the cell at the end of the first line); you can test this by seeing what happens when you type backspace. On Windows, it is displayed as such; on Linux, it is not. In any case, this shouldn't happen: clicking should always leave the caret between cells.

To see the problem in the attached file, click anywhere past the end of the first line and then type backspace.
MRU->SBA: this is related to cursor positioning in CTL. Please have a look.

changed summery from Clicking past end of line sometimes puts caret in the middle of a cell to thai:Clicking past end of line sometimes puts caret in the middle of a cell
SBA->FME: When clicking in the first line behind the characters... Windows: The Cursor position is in the middle of the last character. Linux: The cursor is correctly behind the last character In both cases these positions can NOT be reched via cursor travelling. The cursor acts as if the last character is not existent
FME: Lowered priority.
