Description jvromans 2005-09-29 12:23:03 UTC
I have several OOo 1.1.x presentations that use the "Appear" text effect on
enumerations. When presented, each item of the enumeration appears on a
subsequent click.

When run onder 2.0, all items of the enumeration appear at once.

For me, this is a serious problem since my presentations are designed to use the
appear effect as it works in 1.1.x.

Reassigned.

A sample document to demonstrate the issue would help more to understand and
replicate the problem

When you run the demo document under 1.1.x, the bullet points will appear one by
one when the mouse is clicked.

When run under 2.0RC, all bullit points appear together at once.

I hope this claries the problem.

Hi cgu,

I think this is a P2 problem (basic functionality does not work correctly)
unless a workaround can be suggested.

Especially because this feature is used in many presentations. I did not check
this with 2.0RC but with the attached file the problem was easy to reproduce in
1.9 m130.

As far as I can see the setting for the option 'Group text' on the tab 'Text
animation' of the 'Effect options' dialog is not converted correctly.
The setting was 'as single object', which prevented the animation to appear.

Set to new and change the target
Comment 8 christian.guenther 2005-10-07 09:17:03 UTC
I can reproduce the bug.
Please have a look.
Comment 9 simonbr 2005-10-07 14:09:06 UTC
Why is the target set to "OOo Later" for a defect with priority P3 ???

Comment 10 andreschnabel 2005-10-08 08:47:18 UTC
adding regression keyword

Text effexts, as in this example should be imported with option Group text set
to "1. Abschnittsebene" (sorry for german, but I have no english installation at
hand.

Please change target to 2.0.x, as we had the confirmation, that development will
take care about regressions.

Comment 11 jvromans 2006-03-11 11:18:05 UTC
Seems to be fixed in 2.0.2.
Comment 12 andreschnabel 2006-03-11 11:41:24 UTC
no, not fixed yet. All lines in the example document display at the same time.

This can be changed manually:
- select the text area
- display the effect pane
- right click on the "Appear" effect
- choose effect options from context menue
- go to text animation tab
- set "group text by" "1st level"

(sorry, terms might be incorrect, no english Ooo here)

Changing subcomponent to open-import, as the functionality is there, but not
correctly imported.
Comment 13 jvromans 2006-03-11 12:20:31 UTC
You're right. I verified the wrong document. Sorry.
Comment 14 clippka 2006-03-14 14:25:37 UTC
changing target to 2.0.3 as this is a regression. Not sure if I can fix it in
time so, maybe 2.0.4
Comment 15 clippka 2006-04-04 09:34:55 UTC
fixed in cws impress91,

the actuall import worked but there was a special case in the old slideshow
implementation that shape effect for outline shapes are always executed as text
effects.

Added this to EffectMigration::SetAnimationEffect()
