Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 55765
Insert note feature - note resize corners are not blanked out properly.
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:13:35 UTC
This is the second of the three bugs I have found with the 'insert note' feature in the spreadsheet application. This particular bug shows up when you move the note about on the screen then select another cell. The green corner boxes that are used to resize the note do not get cleared properly. This is intermittent however especially if you only move the note a few millimetres at a time. If you move the note across from one side of the spreadsheet to the other, then select another cell, you will see that the note corner boxes or parts of the boxes are still left on screen when they should have been deleted. demonstration movie to follow shortly. It is interesting that the further you move the note across the screen the more likely the problem occurs, and may be a clue as to resolving this particular bug. Regards Nick. nlaw@naad.fsnet.co.uk

Hi Frank, I've just checked with the latest linux version 2.0 downloaded today (27Oct05) and the problem is still there. It's also still there on a windows version. It has been demonstarted on a Linux PC and a windows XP laptop. The problem is 100% reproducable, see the attached video demo.

Hi Niklas, confirmed. Used to big notes to drag around yesterday. Using small ones show the described behaviour. If posible for 2.0.2 please. Frank
