Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 55794
table cells scrunched during Autofit Optimal Column Width in complex table
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
See attached document with a table. Select a cell. Type control-a twice to select all the cells in the table. Select Table/Autofit/Optimal Column Width. The heading "Write" gets scrunched. The rightmost column disappears. The headings no longer line up with the data rows.
Created attachment 30324 [details] Writer table that gets destroyed with Autofit under OO RC2.
For extra fun, take the already-attached document. Click in the lower-right two cells (the "C"s under "1" and "0"). Table/Autofit/Optimal-Column-Width. The header "Sideways" gets scrunched. (Not unexpected, so far.) Then type control-a twice to select all the cells in the table. Select Table/Autofit/Optimal-Column-Width. The rightmost column disappears, and the headings no longer line up with the data rows.
MRU->OS: in complex tables it seems, that sometimes the "optimal width" is not calculated correctly.
.
The "extra fun" described below doesn't happen in 2.0.2...the rightmost column no longer disappears. However, the cell above the "6" is half obscured. This bug (optimal column width) is similar to, but not the same symptoms as #54927.
For me -- If the table is left-aligned, I have no problem. If the table is right-aligned, I sometimes have the scrunch problem and other times it will simply do nothing. If I set the table left-aligned, select optimal then move it back it works fine.
