Description sirrahn 2005-10-14 07:47:02 UTC
When I import a microstoft word file that has a number of images placed at the
bottom of the page there are errors - the images are not placed correctly, when
compared to the word document. Some of the images seem to be repeated.

MRU->FLR: can you please have a look into the file format - I suspect that the
objects on the bottom of the page (which Word does not display) have VERY large
offset.
Then, this would a duplicate of issue 24563.

I have relooked at the file and as far as I can make out the problems with the
importing are:

1. that openoffice displays additional images - I believe that they are images
from a pervious draft that MSword no longer displays!

2. There seems to be less space at the bottom of the page when opened in
openoffice - maybe something to do with page settings?

Hi just had a look at this again and found that the problem still exists when
the same file is opened with 3.2 RC 1 on a mac(intel).

Will try to change OS to all and ooo version (hope this is correct thing to do).
