Description stiebler 2005-10-14 08:34:29 UTC
[Using OO2 Writer RC2.]
1. Create any text document in Writer.
2. Insert a GIF picture ("from file...") anywhere in the text.
3. Right-click on the picture, and select "picture.../macros".
4. Dialog warning appears "OpenOffice.org requires a Java runtime environment
(JRE) to perform this task. Please install a JRE and restart OpenOffice.org".
5. Click on OK. Dialog disappears, and instantly reappears (go to step 4).
6. (There is not a crash, just a continuous loop.)
7. Need to ALT-CTRL-DELETE to exit from Open Office 2.

[Similar problem previously reported by another user with Python. This was
fixed. Could there be any other occurrences?]

Reassigned to JSK.
Comment 2 joerg.skottke 2005-11-08 14:51:46 UTC
Confirmed. Just another one of those ... :-(

JSK->TBE: Any chance we can have this fixed for maybe 2.0.2? Setting later for now.

TBE->AB: As discussed to you.

By default, Java tries to load 14 different macros here:
1x MyMacros
12x OpenOfficeMacros
1x [filename]
Each time the user is clicking "OK", Open Office is adding one new macro in the macro section of the macro tab.

Do we have any possibilities to stop OpenOffice asking 14 times?
Maybe we can add a boolean which tells whether the message has been shown for this session already or something like that?
