Description ralfrd 2005-10-16 11:24:29 UTC
1. Configuration: Local Area Network, OOo2.0RC3 running on WIN98SE PC, host runs
WIN XP, all files are on host
2. Try to open file on host: file - open - network - host - folder - file
3. List of files in that folder are correctly listed
4. Double click on file to be worked on (or single click and "open")
5. OOo2.0 reports: "file: [path/filename] does not exist"
6. I'm not able to open any file on the host with OOo2.0, although the list of
files is correctly shown.
7. With OOo1.1.5 and earlier no problem
Comment 1 aziem 2005-10-16 17:19:24 UTC
ralfrd: Does this problem exist with UNC paths (\\hostname\share\filename.odt)
or mapped drives (m:\filename.odt)?
Comment 2 ralfrd 2005-10-17 10:51:27 UTC
The problem exists with UNC paths ((\\hostname\share\filename.odt). I have to
use the format the PC offers and cannot test with mapped drives.

This problem confirmed by the extra comments in issue 53184 (but does not
closely match the original post there) and same problem also is mentioned here:

The '*Testproduct' component is to test submitting and commenting on issues with
IssueTracker, and as such 'real' Issues may not be noticed by developers.
I'm closing this as a duplicate.
