Description jrh 2005-10-16 19:20:18 UTC
OOwriter does not draw the top line (box top line) for tables that continue
over a page break. For a technical business users this is a show-stopper and
a major impediment to me being able to use OOo in my job.

I appreciate that "repeat headers" is a klugy way around this, but that is
not an appropriate answer. I also appreicate that this has been raised
before and closed as WONTFIX (too hard).

I'm imploring you to reconsider this, because for professional use it's a
unacceptable, particularly if someone sends you a nicely formated MSWord
multi-page table, you edit it it on OOo and send them back a table with the
box top line missing on every page. Manually adding a line to each top box
is not an option for a table that spans more than a trivial number of pages,
and in case, breaks again if material is added or removed from the table.

Please reconsider fixing this. To my simple mind it can't be that hard,
because the vertical rules go to right place, and "repeat headers" can do
it.

To view.

a) Create a table of 70 rows. Set either "No header" or "Don't repeat header".
b) Have a look at the top if page 2 and weep.
