After scanning an image/page via TWAIN, the resulting image is selected. This is
more an annoyance rather than outright defect or enhancement. Pressing ESC will
deselect the image, but makes recording macros a bit more tedious.

If there is no reason to have the image selected, please don't.

Reassigned. I think there is not much chnace of getting this changed. All
freshly inserted objects are selected in my opinion. In most cases you want to
modify them, call the context menu etc. It would not make sense to deselect them....

OpenOffice.org Issue Tracker - Feedback Request.

The Issue you raised is currently assigned to 'Requirements' pending review, but
has not been updated within the last 2+ years. Please consider re-testing with
one of the latest versions of OOo, as the problem(s) may have already been
addressed. Either use the recent stable version:
