Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 56325
report wizard cannot create left aligned reports
Last modified: 2006-07-19 08:14:36 UTC
OOO 2.0 rc3 Italian translation - base file connected to MsAccess table (TABLE1). I run the report wizard, in Step 1 select the table TABLE1 with all fields (FIELD1 and FIELD2, text), go directly to Step 5, select the first left aligned layout (in Italian it is labeled "Allineato a sinistra - Classico") so I see the fields go from the right side to the left side of the page, click on the "Fine" button to run the report: I obtain a RIGHT aligned report! It seems to create right aligned reports for all the types of left aligned layouts I can select..
Hi, I can reproduce this, reassign to the developer and set target. Bye Marc
BC: I do not yet have an idea, what the reason for this behaviour is, but I think something is going wrong, when the textsections are imported. The alignment attribute is not set programmatically by the wizard.I will investigate this in the weeks to come. Target is reduced to OOo.2.0.3

bc: as discussed with fme this issue is fixed by him *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 55923 ***
This is *not* a duplicate of issue 55923: Issue 55923 talks about alignments of table cell content. I.e., if you change the "Number format" of a table cell - in the "Edit report" mode - to left-aligned, than this is not respected. This issue here is different: It means that all of the "Align Left - ..." layouts on the "Choose layout" page of the report wizard do not work. To reproduce: - open the attached database - start the report wizard - add all fields of the "customers" table - proceed to the "Choose Layout" wizard page - as "Layout of data", choose "Align Left - Highlighted" => the table columns are layouted starting from the very left of the page - press Finish => the table columns are layouted starting from somewhere in the mid of the page This is especially bad since the left-aligned reports are the only ones which make a sensible use of the page width. All other layouts simply waste a lot of space.
Created attachment 37489 [details] document to reproduce the bug case
