It is convenient to look at different part of the same document, to check 
coherence / see if there is no redundancy between these parts. Scrolling up 
and down to compare these parts can be annoying on big documents. 
 
Adding a splitter to show both parts of the document, as in several Windows 
applications that follow the "Document/View" model (Word, WordPad, etc.) and 
several programmer text editors can be really usefull.
