Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5700
Drawing program crashes
Last modified: 2020-06-29 01:56:16 UTC
hello! Congratulations for the improvement on Staroffice. This now looks like a real office suite. However, I got the following problems and comments (in order of gravity): 1. I open the drawing program I click the cube, click the drawing surface, I get somthing I guess represents the edges of a cube, and when I try to drag one of the handles it crashes ("an unexpected error occured"). I must say that graphics is an important issue for me, more important than creatin presentations for instance. Also, 3D may not be the first urgency since my main concerns are diagrams (E-R & Data flow) and plain web graphics I would otherwise do with Adobe Illustrator. SVG export very much welcome, I would also appreciate SVG import. 2. StarOffice came with a bunch of spellcheckers. Openoffice only has english as a default. I need all the languages (including Romanian if you have it). I believe multi-language spellchecker is a big plus for openoffice especially in Europe. For Romania, MS Office is an expensive option and there is a big hungry market that cannot pay the price. I will only say that pirate software is 70% despite the legal efforts of big companies like Adobe and Microsoft who are associated to fight piracy. Romanian spellchacking and interface would be a big thing here. Thanks for your effort, Mircea.

Reassigned to Wolfram.
Set to new.
I have no problem here drawing 3D cubes in version 1.0.0. Have you tried to reinstall Office? Another problem could be the graphic driver. Sometimes it is better to close the open GL usage under tools/options/view. Please have a try. For your wish of a romanian spellchecker please submit an enhancement or feature wish. Thanks for your congratulations!
Works for me.
Closed.
running 4.1.7 i think in the drawing program is there a max data you can hit which jams the program to a error.
