Description lohmaier 2005-11-05 17:19:22 UTC
In OOo 2.0 it is no longer possible to create a button to jump to another table.
Documents that were created in OOo 1.x and use these buttons don't work anymore.

Steps to reproduce:
0) Open a new spreadsheet document
1) Open the Form-Controls-Toolbar and insert a button
2) Define the Action "Jump to Document/URL" and type #<table-name> in the box.
3) Do Link to the same table using a Text-Link
   (Insert|Hyperlink → same document → Choose target → Tables → <table-name>)

4) Leave edit mode and test the button & the text-link:
   → both work

5) now save the document in ods format and check again:
→ text link still works, but Button just jaunches the warning
"Following the link will open[...] Continue Yes/no?"
Even when saying "Yes", nothing happens.

6) Save the document in sxc format, close and reopen the sxc:
→ text link still works, but button fails silently.

Now open the documents in OOo 1.1.5
ODS: Text link works
Button gives annoying warning, but when confirming it works
SXC: Text link works
Button works without any confirmation dialog

##############
Fix:
OOo must not display a confirmation dialog for intra document-hyperlinks (target
in the same file)
Basically:
OOo must be able to follow hyperlinks launched by buttons the same way it
handles text-hyperlinks that the user clicks.

regression keyword since it works fine in OOo 1.1.x

I checked with “2.0 German version WIN XP: [680m3(Build8968)]†and can confirm
the problem, so OS --> ALL

This is a really ugly thing that causes much troble with complex documents
created with 1.1. This problem can make OOo 2.0 unusable for several 1.1 users,
so Priority 3 -> 2.

button link in ods works (no warning, just jumps) in OOo 2.0.1 RC1 on Windows
XP SP2 => fixed
Comment 7 lars 2005-12-02 20:39:07 UTC
closing

reopened.

The issue still exists. Although the warning is not displayed anymore, no action
is executed.

Lowering priority, as we have no data loss, crash or loss of main functionaly.

this one seems a little tricky:
lars confirmed in a private mail, that the buttons work fine in his environment.
But a file he sent to me, shows the broken behaviour at my system.

We both use Windows XP (german localized), tested with OOo 2.0.1RC1(english),
userdef. setup with almost all components installed.

So in case, this is not reproducable by development, we need to track down the
environment.

hi Frank,

as discussed on the phone, your construction site.

fs->as: we dispatch a ".uno:OpenHyperlink" URL to the frame we live in. The
"URL" parameter of this dispatch request is the document URL, appended by the
jump mark, e.g. "file://some/document.ods#sheet2".
This does not work anymore ...
