Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 57433
Multicolumn text in the wrong order for RTL languages
Last modified: 2009-08-11 22:37:07 UTC
In multicolumn text (not tables!) with RTL text, the columns are in the wrong order. The first column is on the left and the next to the right, which would make sense for LTR, whereas it should go the other way. Likely the same problem exists on all platforms and OSs; I only confirmed it on PC/Linux.
Reassigned to SBA.
@seqram: pls. attach a sample file here in the issue report page
Same problem as in Issue 59485?
Yes, this would be a great ENHANCEMENT. Not the same as Issue 59485 because the later applies to calc.
SBA:The text direction for the page setting must be ajusted to Right-To-Left, too: How to set this (CTL support must be enabled!) - Format-Page- Tab "page" -> In List box "Text direction", choose "Right-to-Left" (horizontal), OK - done Now a multi-column page will start on top right. Set to "invalid"
SBA: Note: For frequent use, better change the page styles (and/or the default template) accordingly. Closed.
