Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:18:14 UTC
There is a problem with Hebrew font and character spacing. With some Unicode fonts there are wrong spacings between characters. See example file.

Sorry, but I cannot see a problem (on linux). Please attach a screenshot that demonstrates the faulty rendering. Or clearly mark the text that has spacing problems.
Created attachment 31643 [details] I cannot spot a difference compared to the word-example on linux.
I made a screen shot of the faulty OpenOffice 2.0.0 rendering on Windows XP. See attachment.

I think this is related to Windows uniscribe, not directly to OOo. Maybe updating usp10.dll should resolve the problem (look at http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&item_id=SILHebrUni_Documentation for more informations) I can confirm that spacings are wrong on some complex unicode fonts in Windows, but I cannot tell if the bug is in OOo or in Windows.
ES->HDU: I thought I forwarded you the same issue (same samples) this week???? I can reproduce it on Windows.
Can anyone confirm this with a newer usp10.dll, e.g. on WinXP SP2 or Vista?
following release status meeting -> target 3.x
