Description schmieta 2002-06-13 08:06:05 UTC
When using a serial letter with an odbc-connection to an access database, I
can't get proper results when using a textfield with a condition like the following:

database.table.field == "male"

database.table.field eq "male"

database.table.field == male

database.table.field eq male

Wether the field contains "male" or "female" does not make any difference. The
result is the same for ALL the fields!

reassigning to the responsible developer in OOo Writer
Comment 2 Oliver Specht 2002-06-13 08:34:42 UTC
Didn't work in SO5.2, too.

Hi Oliver Specht,
just to avoid missunderstanding:
the functionality discribed above used to work in SO 5.2. At least it
did on my machine.

I have the same problem when creating a serial letter (using Form
letter). The conditional fields are simply not working in OpenOffice
1.0.1 on Linux, they are returning the same value for all fields.

I am quite sure I have entered the field correctly, because it works
just fine on Windows.

database.table.field == "male"
returns true if the field is "male" and false otherways.

Target changed.
Comment 7 Oliver Specht 2003-01-30 14:44:47 UTC
Fixed with internal task #101436# in rev. 1.17 of
sw/source/ui/bastyp.cxx that is not available in OOo 1.02
Workaround is to set the database name into brackets []
