Description jonhgh 2002-06-13 12:15:31 UTC
Some example formulae given in the online help do not produce the results as
illustrated.

e.g.the "root" example
%LAMBDA_deg","t=1 + %alpha_deg SQRT M_t over M_(t=0)-1~"."
only displays correctly if I add braces as follows
%LAMBDA_{deg","t}=1 + %alpha_deg SQRT {M_t over M_(t=0)-1}~"."
Without the additional braces, the ",t" is not subscripted and the root sign
only covers the "M"

Thanks for posting Jonathan.

Good catch.

In summary, to get what the picture for the Root example displays:

%LAMBDA_deg","t=1 + %alpha_deg SQRT( M_t over M_(t=0)-1)~"."

To get to the Math Root example,

1. Open Formula editor
2.  Help->Contents
3. Double click on "Help about OpenOffice.org Math"
4. Double click on "Examples for OpenOffice.org Math"
5. On the right hand pane, scroll down to the "Root" example.

ES->FPE: I confirm that the correct formaula should be:

%LAMBDA_{deg","t}=1 + %alpha_deg SQRT {M_t over M_(t=0)-1}~"."

Thanx to jonhgh and PM!
