Please add capability for adding same variable with different statistic to 
data pilot.  For example calculate the mean and the standard deviation for the 
same variable within the data pilot.

You can select several functions in the "Data Field" dialog using the Ctrl key.
Is that what you're looking for?

The ctrl key does resolve this issue.  Elaboration in "HELP" would be 
beneficial since users converting from Excel will experience the same issue.
