Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 58076
Add information to make a table row breaking page more visible
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:36:24 UTC
If you have a table cell with enough information inside to cause the cell to span over to the following page, then that following page will create another row that is completely blank except for the remainder contents of the tall table cell. Document attached with example. Suggested resolutions: 1. Visibly indicate that the additional row is simply an "overflow" from the previous page. 2. Or force the entire row to be placed on the 2nd page to avoid "splitting" the row.

Well, it is of course quite clear, that the MUST be expanded completely if only a part of it is expanded. So the only thing which could be done is to add a visible indicator which shows that the table row is continiued here from the prvious page. The whole row can be forced to move to the next page by disabling th option "Allow row to break across pages and columns" in the table's properties. Reassigned to UserExperience for consideration about the "page break indicator" in a table cell.
